About Us

Orba Travel Brokers is a family-owned, Western Australian business, established in 1990.

Since inception we have been an accredited member of IATA ( International Air Transport Association). This accreditation allows us to issue most airline tickets in-house. To retain our IATA accreditation, we must also comply with International PCI Standards, the system used to comply with the latest security standards in credit card use and data storage. Our PCI compliance is managed via one of the world’s larger PCI Compliance companies, Security Metrics, based in the U.S.

We are also fully accredited with ATIA (Australian Travel Industry Association) as an ATAS accredited travel agent.

For much of our journey (over 30 years), we provided travel management to some of the WA’s powerhouse Corporate businesses. However, post the Covid period and lockdowns, we decided to divest ourselves of most of our corporate clients, to reduce staff numbers and to concentrate almost exclusively on leisure and group travel.

The industry is ever-changing because of, primarily, technology. This is shown, for example, in how our major suppliers and airlines conduct their business with us today, with dynamic pricing, the roll-out of the NDC (New Distribution Capabilities) being the latest. The NDC enables the airlines to bypass the global distribution systems (GDS) they themselves introduced decades ago, and to supply travel agents, like Orba Travel Brokers with carrier specific, real-time direct offers.

Orba Travel Brokers staff have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the industry and continue to adapt to this new technology and these new fare and airline inventory distribution methods to ensure our clients receive the latest, most practical, and best possible advice and service.
